GB/T 28784.3-2012
Scope
This part of GB/T 28784 specifies the guidelines, requirements and procedures for measuring the vibration generated by different types of shipboard equipment (the vibration is transmitted in the ship structure in the form of structural noise). The measurement is the equipment factory acceptance test (Factory Acceptance Test , FAT). This section specifies measurements on equipment with defined operating and installation conditions, e.g. on a supplier's test bench. This part is a framework standard providing typical test results, applicable to on-board equipment on passenger ships, merchant ships, yachts and high-speed craft. Since the vibration in the direction of rotation does not contribute much to the structural noise, this section only involves the vibration in the translational direction, but does not propose limits for equipment vibration or structural noise.
