This standard specifies experimental methods for overhead line tower structures. This standard is applicable to true tower load tests for overhead lines with voltage levels of 35kV and above, structural loads such as substation structures, low-voltage towers, communication towers, railway or track overhead electrification structures, street lighting pillars, wind turbine towers, sling structures, etc. The test can be carried out as a reference. This standard does not apply to model testing. Types of pole and tower materials covered by this standard include (but are not limited to) metal, concrete, wood, and composite materials.
