Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, dismantling, classification, cleaning, inspection and repair, assembly, performance requirements and test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking of automotive starters for remanufacturing. This standard applies to remanufactured starters for automobiles, and can be implemented as a reference for remanufactured starters for other motor vehicles.
