- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, dismantling, classification and cleaning, inspection and repair, assembly, performance requirements and test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging of remanufactured alternators. This standard applies to the remanufacturing of alternators for automobiles, and can be implemented with reference to remanufactured alternators for other motor vehicles.
