Scope
This standard specifies the design basis, design criteria, design content, design process, design methods and verification test items for aviation turboprop and turboshaft engine accessory transmission systems. This standard applies to the design of accessory transmission systems for aviation turboprop and turboshaft engines. Aviation turbofans and turbojet engines, aviation gas turbine auxiliary power units (APU) and ground gas turbine accessory transmission systems can also be used with reference.
