This International Standard establishes a statistical, so-called, single determination model (SD-Model) for applying single measurements for production quality control purposes within a producer's manufacturing site, even if a standard test method prescribes a more-fold determination. The statistical method is also applicable to test methods prescribing repeated handlings. A general approach on the precision statement in standards, which produce numerical results, is described in this International Standard.
