Scope

This International standard specifies the minimum performance requirements and methods of test for personal protective equipment covering the body, hands, feet, head, eyes, hearing and respiratory for wildland firefighting and associated activities.This Standard covers the general design of the personal protective equipment, the minimum levels ofperformance for the materials employed and the methods of test to be used. This personal protectiveequipment is not intended to provide protection during fire entrapment.This standard does not cover personal protective equipment for use in risk situations where personalprotective equipment complying with ISO 11613:1
