Scope
This specification covers a magnesium alloy in the form of investment castings. These castings have been used typically for small intricate parts, which may operate up to 300 °F (149 °C) and are cast to approximate final dimensions, where the intricacy of the part is such that high fluidity of the molten metal is required, but usage is not limited to such applications.
