Scope
This standard is intended to be an aid in planning the monitoring of pollutants in indoor air. For example, measurement results can be used in a wide range of ways, such as considering the necessity of repair work or verifying the effectiveness of repair work, so a careful sampling plan is important. Inappropriate monitoring methods will result in large errors due to errors in the monitoring procedures. This standard uses the following definitions for indoor rooms such as buildings (according to the European Expert Conference on Environmental Issues) [2] Living room, bedroom, workshop, recreation room, basement, kitchen, or bathroom of a house: Workplaces or workplaces in buildings (e.g. offices and shops) that have not been subject to health and safety inspections for contaminants; public buildings (e.g. hospitals, schools, kindergartens, sports rooms, libraries, restaurants, bars, (theaters, movie theaters, and other buildings) and inside transportation vehicles. Notes 1. In some countries, workplaces such as offices and stores are subject to health and safety inspections regarding air pollution. In Japan, buildings with a total area of 3,000 m or more are regulated by the Act on Ensuring Sanitary Environments in Buildings (Building Sanitation Act).
