Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the purity and hydrocarbon impurity content of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene (trimethylbenzene) by gas chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene with a purity of not less than 98.0% (mass fraction) and a hydrocarbon impurity content of not less than 0.001% (mass fraction).
