- This part of YS/T 63 specifies the method for measuring the linear expansion rate (sodium expansion rate) of cathode carbon blocks for aluminum due to sodium penetration. This standard is applicable to the determination of the linear expansion rate of cathode carbon blocks for aluminum due to sodium penetration (i.e., sodium expansion rate). The linear expansion rate also depends on the anisotropy in the sampling direction.
