- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic types, parameters, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, installation and use requirements, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of dry gas seals. This standard applies to dry gas seals for rotating machinery such as centrifugal compressors, screw compressors and centrifugal pumps.
