Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of seven phthalates (see Appendix A) in polypropylene tow filter rods. The detection of other phthalate compounds can also be used as a reference. This standard applies to the determination of phthalates in polypropylene tow filter rods.
