Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the birefringence of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film using the Sennamon method, including the determination of the main strain direction and the desired delay. This standard is applicable to PET film manufactured by unidirectional or biaxial stretching process, and other plastic films manufactured by stretching process can also be used.
