This standard specifies the method for the determination of mercury content in coatings by direct mercury measurement using solid-liquid sampling. This standard is applicable to the determination of total mercury and soluble mercury content in coatings. The lower limit of the total mercury determination method is 2.0 μg/kg, and the lower limit of the soluble mercury determination is 0.1 μg/kg.
