- This standard specifies the standard test method for the determination of free glycerol and total glycerol in B-100 biodiesel fatty acid methyl ester. This standard is applicable to the quantitative determination of free glycerol and total glycerol in B-100 biodiesel fatty acid methyl ester by gas chromatography. The measurement range of this standard is: free glycerin is 0.005% ~ 0.05% (mass fraction); total glycerol is 0.05% ~ 0.5% (mass fraction). This standard does not apply to vegetable oil fatty acid methyl esters obtained from laurel oil (such as coconut oil and palm kernel oil).
