Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage of handheld lawn edgers powered by gasoline engines (hereinafter referred to as edgers). This standard applies to hand-held trimmers powered by gasoline engines. Trimming machines powered by other internal combustion engines can also be used as a reference.
