- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of the measurement uncertainty of acoustic output parameters of ultrasonic diagnostic and monitoring equipment, the main sources of uncertainty, the procedures for uncertainty assessment, and the assessment, reporting and expression of uncertainty. This standard applies to the evaluation of measurement uncertainty of acoustic output parameters of ultrasonic diagnostic and monitoring equipment (hereinafter referred to as "equipment").
