Scope

This standard applies to well-type radionuclide calibrators with gas-filled ionization chambers used in the practice of nuclear medicine. The purpose of this standard is to identify the most important characteristics of radionuclide calibrators and to specify corresponding test methods to enable manufacturers to declare the characteristics of their equipment in a standardized way and to facilitate comparisons between equipment.
