Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for plunger springs, fuel delivery valve springs, governor springs and fuel injector pressure regulating springs of fuel injection pumps for diesel engines. This standard applies to cylindrical helical springs such as plunger springs of fuel injection pumps for diesel engines, fuel delivery valve springs, governor springs and fuel injector pressure regulating springs, hereinafter referred to as springs.
