Scope

This part of GB/T 9711 specifies the technical delivery conditions for seamless steel pipes and welded steel pipes of non-alloy steel and alloy steel (except stainless steel). The requirements of this part are generally more stringent than the provisions of ISO 3183-1 and ISO 3183-2. This standard is generally applicable to steel pipes for transporting flammable fluids under special harsh conditions such as ocean, low temperature and/or acidic environments. This section does not apply to cast pipes.
