Important note: The strong acid or alkali used in this standard is corrosive, so care should be taken when using it. If splashed on body, rinse with plenty of water and avoid inhalation or skin contact. This standard specifies a method for the determination of total phosphate content in industrial circulating cooling water using the phosphomolybdenum blue photometric method. This standard is applicable to the determination of total phosphate content in industrial circulating cooling water between 0.02 mg/L and 50 mg/L (calculated as PO).
