This specification covers a closed-cell, modified vinyl plastic foam in the form of sheet and strip up to 1-1/2 inches (38.1 mm) in nominal thickness. These products have been used typically for parts, such as head rest pads and arm rests, requiring an impact-resistant, slow-recovery, energy-absorbing product, but usage is not limited to such applications.
