Scope

This standard specifies the general test method for the determination of the pH value of aqueous pigment suspensions. This standard is equivalent to the international standard ISO787/9-1981 "General test methods for pigments and extenders - Part IX: Determination of pH value of aqueous suspensions". In the case of pigments, it is only necessary to include the article referring to this method in the product standard of the pigment or pigment extender. Note: When this general method is applicable to the specified pigment or texture, and indicate the changes required due to the characteristics of the product. A specific method for the determination of the pH of aqueous suspensions should be specified only if this general method is not applicable to a particular product.
