- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of food additive sorbitol liquid. This standard is applicable to the food additive sorbitol liquid which is refined by hydrogenation reaction using glucose as raw material under the action of a catalyst. This product is used as humectant and sweetener in food processing. Molecular formula: C6H14O6 Relative molecular mass: 182.17 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2001)
