This standard applies to the food additive calcium lactate which is directly extracted by inoculating lactobacillus and fermented with starch and sugar raw materials, and which is synthesized from lactic acid and calcium hydroxide (or calcium carbonate). This product is mainly used as nutritional supplement and buffer for food and beverage.
