- This standard specifies the structure, technical requirements and test methods of hydrodynamic fertilizer-pesticide injection pumps (hereinafter referred to as hydrodynamic injection pumps). This hydraulic injection pump is used to inject fertilizers and pesticides into irrigation systems. Fertilizers and pesticides include liquid fertilizers, fertilizer solutions, and soluble pesticides such as acids, insecticides, and herbicides. This standard applies to water-driven injection pumps operating in water whose temperature does not exceed 50 °C and may contain chemical fertilizers and pesticides of the type and concentration commonly used in irrigation systems. This standard does not apply to backflow prevention devices (which are not an integral part of hydrodynamic injection pumps), nor to venturi-type hydrodynamic devices for injecting fertilizers and pesticides into irrigation systems.
