NF X30-478*NF EN 15875:2011 Characterization of waste - Static test for determination of acid potential and neutralisation potential of sulfidic waste.
This European Standard specifies methods for determining the potential of sulphide materials to form acidic drainage waters. The specified methods make it possible to determine both the acid generation potential (AP) and the neutralization potential (NP) of the material. From these results, the net neutralization potential (NNP) and the neutralization potential ratio (NPR) are calculated. This European Standard is applicable to all sulfide wastes from the extractive industry, excluding wastes which will have a pH less than 2 during the initial stage of the procedure described in 8.2.3.
