Scope

This standard provides the establishment of dose-response curves for ionizing radiation-induced chromosomal aberrations in human peripheral blood lymphocytes and methods for estimating biological doses using them. This standard applies to the dose estimation of persons exposed to a relatively uniform whole-body external exposure accident. This standard is also applicable to the case dose estimation of a relatively uniform whole-body external radiation complex burn. This standard does not apply to fractional exposure, long-term small-dose cumulative exposure and biological dose estimation for internal exposure.
