Scope

This standard specifies the content format and transmission method of basic EPG information applied to digital television broadcasting, and the content format of extended EPG information applied to exchange. For the extended EPG content format and transmission method applied to digital TV broadcasting, since it is closely related to middleware and other digital TV standards under study, this standard currently does not make any regulations. This standard does not specify the generation and display methods of EPG, operators and digital TV receiving terminal manufacturers can freely choose the generation and display methods. This standard applies to the transfer of basic EPG information from the digital TV broadcasting front-end to the receiving terminal and the exchange of EPG information between digital TV broadcasting front-ends.
