Scope
This part specifies the methods for the determination of liquid oxygen, liquid air, suction air and hydrocarbons in liquid oxygen tanks in the air separation process. This section applies to the online monitoring and offline detection of total hydrocarbons in oxygen or air and C1~C4 hydrocarbons. The C1~C4 hydrocarbons recommended for determination in this part include: methane, ethane, ethylene, propylene, n-butane, isobutane, and 1.3-butadiene. This section recommends the determination of these components but is not limited to these components. During specific monitoring, the surrounding environment of the air separation unit should be reasonably analyzed, and the monitoring of other organic components in air and oxygen that may endanger the safe operation of the air separation unit should be increased.
