- This standard specifies the quantitative test method for soil particle size distribution. This standard applies to the quantitative determination of soil particle size analysis. The particle size distribution with a particle size greater than 75 μm (retained on a 200-mesh sieve) is determined by the sieving method; the particle size distribution with a particle size less than 75 μm is determined by the necessary data measured with a liquid density meter during the sedimentation process.
