This standard specifies the definition of the communication physical layer, data link layer and application layer based on the Controller Area Network (CAN) between the off-board conductive charger of electric vehicles and the battery management system (Battery management System, hereinafter referred to as BMS). This standard applies to the communication protocol between the off-board charger of electric vehicles and BMS (or other vehicle control units with charging control function) using conductive charging.
