Scope: Warning: Potassium nitrate is a strong oxidant, which can cause combustion and explosion under certain conditions when in contact with organic matter, and emit irritating poisonous gas. When heated with carbon powder or sulfur, it can emit strong light and burn. Safety should be paid attention to during production, storage, transportation and use. This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and safety of industrial potassium nitrate. This standard applies to industrial potassium nitrate mainly used as raw materials for black powder, fuse, optical glass, ammonia catalyst, metal heat treatment, enamel and pharmaceutical intermediates.
