Scope
This part specifies the real-time protocol, MVB vehicle bus, WTB train bus and network management of open train data communication, which is applicable to data communication between vehicles and within a vehicle of open trains. The application of the train communication bus (WTB) in this part can realize the interoperability of various vehicles in the open train and the reconnection of rolling stock produced by different manufacturers. The data communication bus (MVB) of the Ministry of Vehicles is the recommended solution for TCN. In any case, the supplier shall ensure that the WTB is compatible with the proposed vehicle bus. If the supplier and the user agree through consultation, this section can also be applied to closed trains and multi-unit trains.
