Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions and symbols for risk assessment of buried steel pipelines, general principles, basic work flow of risk assessment, division of pipeline sections, evaluation of failure probability, evaluation of failure consequences, calculation of risk value, division of risk levels, and risk reduction Recommendations for measures and risk reassessment. This standard applies to long-distance pipelines and gathering pipelines that transport crude oil, refined oil, corrosive liquids, and natural gas media; public pipelines that transport natural gas, artificial gas, and liquefied petroleum gas media; The underground steel pipeline is used for the risk assessment of its buried part, spanning part and exposed pipe part in the four stages of feasibility stage, design review stage, completion acceptance stage and in-use stage. This standard does not apply to the risk assessment of non-steel long-distance pipelines, gathering and transportation pipelines, public pipelines, and industrial pipelines conveying corrosive liquid media, nor does it apply to Risk assessment of various devices and equipment in the station of the industrial pipeline of the medium.
