Scope
This standard specifies the special safety requirements for guide frame climbing work platforms (hereinafter referred to as MCWP). MCWP is manually or power-operated, temporarily installed equipment that can carry one or more people for operation. This standard does not specifically stipulate how to deal with the requirements for handling, installing or dismantling, fixing or removing any materials or equipment that are not part of this MCWP. The hazards caused by the process, nor does it specifically specify the method of handling special hazardous materials. This standard does not specifically specify the requirements for transporting personnel and materials to fixed landings. For such facilities, please refer to elevators or construction hoists and other relevant standards. This standard also applies to permanently installed MCWP. For MCWP to which this standard applies, the operating platform is lifted by the drive system and guided and moved by the guide frame. Horizontal support may or may not be provided between the guide frame and the independent supporting structure. At the same time, the MEWP in this standard is applicable to any of the following optional combination types: - single guide frame or multiple guide frames; - with attached support or without attached support; - fixed height guide frame or variable height guide frame; — vertical guide frame or guide frame inclined from 0° to 30° to the vertical direction; — standing or suspended guide frame; — movable or fixed chassis (chassis or chassis); — manual or powered lifting; — Towed or self-propelled at the workplace without meeting the requirements of road traffic regulations; - driven by electric, pneumatic, hydraulic or internal combustion engines. This standard does not apply to mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP) in accordance with ISO 16368, gondolas for working at heights in accordance with EN 1808 and elevating platforms in accordance with EN 1570.
