The method described is suitable for determining formadehyde and higher aldehydes as well as ketones in dilutes exhaust gases of, for example, internal combustion engines and in exhaust gases of, for example plasics factories, fiberboard factories, textile factories, animal rendering plants or vulcanization factories.
