Scope
This guideline specifies an automatic measurement method for the simultaneous and continuous determination of the emissions of total gaseous organic carbon (TOC) and the methane fraction (methane-C) using flame ionisation detection (FID), the result being expressed as carbon mass concentration in mg/m3. The difference of both quantities provides additionally the quantity "non-methane total organic carbon (NMTOC)". The method is applicable in the concentration range from approx. 5 mg/m3 to approx. 5000 mg/m3.
