Scope
This standard specifies methods for detecting infectious splenorenal necrosis virus (ISKNV) using indirect fluorescent antibody technology (IFAT) and polymerase chain reaction technology (PCR). This standard applies to the epidemiological investigation, diagnosis, quarantine and monitoring of infectious splenorenal necrosis virus disease. This standard can detect viruses of the genus Cytovirus including ISKNV, including red seabream iridovirus (RSIV), rock seabream iridovirus (RBIV), oblique grouper iridovirus (OSGIV), etc.; however, it cannot detect iridescence. Other genera of viruses in the family Viridae.
