Scope: This procedure is applicable to the initial verification, subsequent verification and in-use inspection of DC high-voltage high-value resistors (hereinafter referred to as high-voltage high-resistance resistors) with a maximum nominal operating voltage greater than 1kV and a total resistance greater than 10MΩ. This practice does not apply to active and passive analog resistors, nor to resistors used as permanently installed components in circuits.
