Scope: 1.1 This standard specifies the method for measuring the UV absorbance of white oil. 1.2 This standard applies to cosmetic, medical and food grade white oils. Not suitable for white oils containing additives that are soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide and exhibit fluorescence or fluorescence extinction. 1.3 This standard adopts the International System of Units (SI), and the values expressed in units are for reference only. 1.4 This standard is not intended to provide advice on all safety issues related to its use. Therefore, it is the responsibility of those using this standard to investigate and establish appropriate safety and health practices and to determine the applicability of regulatory limitations before using this standard.
