- This standard specifies the principle, test instruments, samples, test procedures, test results and test reports for testing the hardness of reinforced plastics with a Barcol hardness tester. This standard is applicable to the determination of Barcol hardness of reinforced plastics and their products. The determination of Barcol hardness of non-reinforced plastics and their products can also be carried out by reference, but it is not applicable to materials with a Barcol hardness of less than 20.
