Scope

This standard specifies the specimens, test equipment, test conditions, test procedures and result calculations for the determination of impact toughness by the Charpy impact method. This standard is applicable to the determination of the impact toughness of notched samples of fiber reinforced plastics, and the impact toughness of unnotched samples can be referred to for implementation.
