- 1.1 This standard specifies the necessary conditions for the color and brightness of the screen projected at the open film gate, and the color and brightness requirements for the lighting of the surrounding area. This standard also specifies the relative dimensions of the screen and the area surrounding the screen and the lighting requirements for the surrounding area necessary for critical evaluation of the color balance and contrast of color films for television use. 1.2 This standard also recommends the conditions for viewing rooms that can accommodate large audiences.
