Scope
This standard specifies a reference method for determining the catalytic activity concentration of aspartate aminotransferase (AST) (without pyridoxal phosphate) in clinical medical applications. This standard is mainly applicable to reference laboratories, as the traceability of the determination of aspartate aminotransferase catalytic activity concentration (without pyridoxal phosphate), and also as the traceability of instruments and reagent manufacturers related to enzyme catalytic activity concentration testing. It can be used by relevant accredited units and quality management departments.
