- Scope
- This standard specifies equipment for measuring the diffuse reflectance coefficient of paper, paperboard and pulp, and procedures for its calibration. Diffuse reflectance coefficient measurements include IS0 whiteness (diffuse and blue light reflectance coefficient), pulp scattering coefficient, opacity, whiteness, luminous reflectance coefficient, paper chromaticity coordinates, and non-textile materials. This is done for the evaluation of optical properties such as the intrinsic reflectance coefficient of . Numerical values that optically characterize a material are determined in a manner specific to each property to be determined.
