Scope: This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation and storage of single-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometers. This standard is applicable to single-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometers (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") whose main spectral range is 200nm-900nm and whose wavelength is continuously adjustable. Special spectrophotometers with similar wavelength ranges can also be used for reference.
