Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements and test methods for the collision safety of compressed natural gas vehicle fuel systems. This standard is applicable to M1 vehicles whose fuel system uses compressed natural gas, including dual-fuel compressed natural gas vehicles and single-fuel compressed natural gas vehicles. Other related types of vehicles can also be implemented by reference.
