- This standard specifies the potassium dichromate oxidation-spectrophotometric method for the determination of organic carbon in soil. This standard applies to the determination of organic carbon in air-dried soil. This standard is not applicable to the determination of saline soil or saline-alkaline soil with a chloride ion content greater than 2.0*10mg/kg. When the sample amount is 0.5g, the detection limit of this method is 0.06% (based on dry weight), and the lower limit of determination is 0.24% (based on dry weight).
